GIORNO 1 - DPS – UPG – MAMASA, Mamasa Cottage or similar

Upon arrival in Makassar airport meeting service and drive directly to Mamasa with several photo stops en route, included lunch break at Kuppa Beach. It is be quite a long day as the arrival in Mamasa will be late in the evening (by about 8 – 9 PM). The long drive mainly caused by the bad road condition between Polewali and Mamasa.

GIORNO 2 - MAMASA EXPLORATION Mamasa Cottage

Today’s program includes the visit to Mamasa village with typical Mamasa traditional houses. Rantebuda / Rambu Saratu is just next to Mamasa Cottage; take a walk to reach the village. Proceed then to Orobua by car and take a trek reach the village. Return then to hotel for lunch. Afternoon visit the village of Orobua on a hill, a walk is needed to reach the village.

GIORNO 3 - MAMASA – TORAJA Hotel according to the choice

Early departure, en route visit Tedong – tedong in Minanga where ancient wooden sarcophagus in buffalo shape are located. It needs a walk to reach the place. Drive back then to low land until reach Pinrang for lunch. Afternoon proceed to Toraja via Enrekang. Some photo stops will be made en route. Arrive Toraja by 4 – 5 PM.

GIORNO 4 - TORAJA Hotel according to the choice

If there is no funeral ceremony and weekly market, then visit villages and places like: Lemo, a place where effigies are put on display on the rock cliff together with rock tomb. Then proceed to Kambira where the baby grave on the tree is located. The program before lunch ends up in Suaya the Royal cemetery with ancient wooden effigies. Lunch at local restaurant next to Makale. Afternoon visit Londa, a cave used as natural graveyard. Proceed then to Siguntu- a village with beautiful Toraja houses.

GIORNO 5 - TORAJA Hotel according to the choice

Morning visit Kete Ke’su’ - one of the most beautiful traditional villages in Toraja it is also known as center of Toraja woodcarving. Behind the village there are ancient sarcophagus and wooden effigies. Then visit Marante – place where wooden big wooden sarcophagus located. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon drive to Batutumonga for the beautiful panoramic views over the valley of Toraja. Lokomata is just 3 km away from Batutumonga. A few meters walk to Lokomata is worth doing. Lokomata is known for it’s burial place on a huge and round shaped single rock. Return then to Rantepao with a last visit to Sa’dan – where locals practice Toraja weaving.

GIORNO 6 - TORAJA – SENGKANG Pondok Eka

The drive to Sengkang passes one of the most beautiful views on the province, before reaching Palopo on the east coast of southern peninsula of Sulawesi. Lunch in Palopo. Afternoon drive to Sengkang with stops at the roadside to have a closer look into the Bugis silk weaving activity. After check in take a transfer to the riverbank of Walanae to take a boat ride to Tempe Lake. If the water still high then the boating could reach the floating houses of fisherman in the middle of the lake. But the activity along the riverbank towards the lake is worth seeing. Where people bathing, washing, catching fishes and even locals use it as public natural toilet.

GIORNO 7 - SENGKANG – KAJANG – BIRA Anda Bungalows

Morning visit market of Sengkang and the silk weaving, proceed then to Kajang with lunch stop at local restaurant in Sinjai for lunch. Afternoon visit Kajang village to meet Amatoa. The visitors need to wear black costume as to respect the Konjo’s who wear black colored costumes throughout their life. A two km walk one way is needed as no motor vehicle is allowed to enter the village. If lucky, the meeting with the Amatoa could take place at his home. Stay in the village for a while to comprehend and to witness the daily life of the Kajang’s who survive to keep their centuries old tradition alive amid the simultaneous outsider influences. Late afternoon drive to Bira and overnight.

GIORNO 8 - BIRA – TANA BERU – MAKASSAR

Morning drive to Makassar with a first stops at Tana Beru, a place where the well-known Phinisi – the Bugis schooner is built. Another stop will be made en route such as in Jeneponto area where the salt farming is located. Lunch in Makassar. En route to the airport visit Paotetere sailing boat harbor, if time permits visit Fort Rotterdam beforehand.

GIORNO 9 - Tulamben / Sanur (B)

Séjour libre. Votre voiture vous emmènera dans l’après-midi à Sanur au sud-est de l’île.
Nuit à l’hôtel Waka Maya (Lanai).


GIORNO 10 - Bali – Fin de service (B)

Séjour libre à l’hôtel. Transfert à l’aéroport puis envol pour votre prochaine destination.

GIORNO 11 - Bali

Journée de visite. Visite aux fontaines sacrées de Tampaksiring aux vertus curatives. Le dieu Indra les aurait fait jaillir lorsqu’il créa la source de l’amerta, l’élixir d’immortalité. Route vers Kintamani en face du Lac Batur, village montagnard populaire pour son climat frais et ses marchés intéressants, en traversant de magnifiques paysages de montagne, souvent noyés dans la brune ce qui les rend encore plus romantiques. Continuation par la visite du plus grand temple de Bali, situé sur les pentes du Mont Agung, le temple de Besakih.
Diner au restaurant locale et puis transfert à l’hôtel pour la nuit.


GIORNO 12 - Bali

Journée de découverte de sites archéologiques. Visite de Goa Gajah, la grotte de l’éléphant, puis des tombes royales de Gunung Kawi dans une gorge encaissée où coule une rivière ; la montagne a été sculptée et des niches ont été taillées abritant les monuments funéraires des premiers rois balinais. Suivi par les temples de Pejeng et Yeh Puluh. En chemin, très joli point de vue sur les rizières en terrasses des collines avoisinantes.

GIORNO 13 - UBUD / KUTA

Départ vers le plus beau lac de Bali, le lac volcanique de BERATAN entouré de montagnes se reflétant dans ses eaux. Visite du temple ULUN DANU à Bedugul, temple semi-aquatique dédié à Dewi Danu, la déesse des eaux.
Continuation par la visite de Mengwi, le temple aux nénuphars, puis Tanah Lot, l’un des temples de la mer les plus vénérés, perché sur un îlot rocheux. Vous passerez par la route de Jatiluwih, connue pour ses rizières en terrasses parmi les plus belles de Bali. Transfert à l’hôtel de votre choix.


GIORNO 14 - Bali

Séjour Libre et diner à l’hôtel.

GIORNO 15 - DENPASAR – fin de service

Matinée libre, dernier préparation pour départ. Transfert à l’aéroport et puis en vol pour votre prochaine destination.
