Medical facilities are generally lacking; in case of emergency you should travel to South Africa, where you will find excellent medical facilities. We recommend, however, to conclude, before leaving, health insurance in addition to providing medical expenses also cover an eventual repatriation medical aircraft. It is preferable that the health insurance also provides for the possibility of delivering advances in case of hospitalisation. Private clinics do not dispense medical services without prepayment of at least one deposit, sometimes very costly. The deposit is not required where there is between the healthcare facility and the insurance company a specific Convention. You do not have particular difficulties in finding the main drugs on the market. There are currently endemic diseases or risks of epidemics in progress, except for the presence, though not common, bilharzia (rivers and Lakes) and rickettosi (tick fever).
